The KIND Kitchen found its roots in Rainbow... We began attending local Toronto gatherings in the spring of 1997 and have attended hundreds of events, student protests and festivals since that time.

The kitchen crew is diverse and has always been autonomous with no leader or central committee. members who have wished to start their own KIND kitchen have done so around North America.. There are basic safety standards we abide by which are based in the health regulations of the areas we participate in.

One of the key elements is education and non-judgmental peer to peer harm reduction education.

We have teamed up with various partners over the years to provide pamphlets and materials.
